Summer on the Central Coast means adventure seekers are out in full force exploring their surroundings. Camping in Big Sur, kayaking in Morro Bay, and climbing at Bishop Peak are all popular activities, but if you don’t have the proper gear and equipment, these outdoor adventures can be expensive.

Look no further than ASI Poly Escapes at the Cal Poly Recreation Center for your equipment rental needs. A variety of camping, hiking, paddling, and climbing gear is all available for students and community members to rent including tents, sleeping bags, ice chests, kayaks, surfboards, and more. Check out the Equipment Rental Catalog for a full list of available items.

Rental costs for students and non-students are available on the Poly Escapes Rental List and Fees. Items can be rented for a maximum of 15 days. Rental reservations must be made in-person at Poly Escapes. For policy information, visit Poly Escapes Rental Policies.

The Poly Escapes Climbing Park will also be open all summer long for Recreation Center members. Whether you're a new climber or a seasoned veteran, you can push your fitness levels to new heights and meet new friends. Visit the Rental Center and Climbing Park on Tuesdays through Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. during the summer.

Follow and tag the ASI Poly Escapes Facebook and ASI Poly Escapes Instagram to show us how you’re using your rental gear! Use #BuildYourBucketList in your posts for a chance to see one of your summer adventures featured!
