ASI Social Justice Program Funding Now Available

In May 2018, the ASI Board of Directors approved an allocation of $15,000 from the ASI budget toward ASI Social Justice Program Funding. Currently chartered Cal Poly recognized student organizations and departments are eligible to apply for funding to help support events and programs that are intended to educate students on issues facing underrepresented minority students.

"ASI is looking forward to students having greater access to this new source of funding to put on events that will educate our campus on topics of acceptance, inclusion, and respect,” ASI President Jasmin Fashami said. “We hope this initiative will allow such programming to reach a wider range of students on a campuswide level."

ASI Social Justice Program Funding applications are now available on the ASI Student Government website and can be submitted to the ASI Student Government office located upstairs in the Julian A. McPhee University Union.

Events seeking to be co-sponsored with ASI Social Justice Program Funding should aim to enrich the overall campus community through events that champion social justice, diversity, and inclusion for a broad range of Cal Poly students. Co-sponsorship is limited to a maximum allotment of three events per year/per group not exceeding $2,500 in total.
