Cal Poly Recreation Center Reservations

Due to the university required COVID-19 testing, students entering The Cal Poly Recreation Center must show proof of a negative COVID-19 test by showing your digital pass from the daily COVID-19 screening. For information and updates about COVID-19, please visit

*Outdoor recreation facilities may be closed in the event of poor air quality or inclement weather. Closure notifications will be provided through ASI Access and on the Recreation Center website, Instagram, or Facebook.

  Reservation Requirements

  • Reservations are required. Reservations open one day in advance and are available during business hours only. Only one reservation may be reserved per day, per person.
    • Members without Cal Poly Portal access, please call Membership Services at 805-756-1366 to request a reservation.
  • Arrive a minimum of five minutes before reserved time, as there may be a line to enter the facility.
  • Reservations are for a maximum of one hour. Members must vacate the facility at reservation end time as it will be closed to the public for a brief cleaning.
  • Members must sign the ASI Waiver of Liability and the COVID-19 Policies and Procedures Acknowledgment prior to first visit.
    • Members with My Cal Poly Portal access can do this through the ASI Access app. Download ASI Access in the App Store or Google Play.
    • Those without My Cal Poly Portal access may do this at the Membership Services desk at check-in.

  Guidelines for Entrance & Policies

  • Do not enter the facility if you are exhibiting any flu-like symptoms or have been in contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19.
  • Face coverings are required when inside the facility and when maintaining 6 feet of distance from others is not possible, including while actively exercising. *Lap pool excluded.
  • Members are required to arrive ready to exercise as locker rooms are unavailable.
  • Workout mats are not currently available, you must bring your own if needed
    • In-person group fitness classes require a mat
  • It is advised to bring a full water bottle as hydration stations and water fountains are currently closed.
  • Assist with cleanliness by washing your hands and using hand sanitizer, as needed.
